The University of Maryland golf course in College Park is one of the D.C. area’s best-kept secrets. This DC golf course offers mature trees and places a premium on accuracy. Like many University courses, this one is open to the public. Whenever you travel, investigate the nearby college courses, which are generally a fair challenge and can be comparably inexpensive.
You can secure online tee times for many of these courses or you can contact them via telephone to arrange for a tee time. The availability of tee times may be subject to the university’s schedule so it is worthwhile to consider playing in the off-season. Other Maryland courses of note include the Beach Club Golf Links in Berlin, MD and the Black Rock Golf Course in Washington County. By far, the most famous of Maryland's myriad courses is Bethesda's Congressional Country Club which has played host to presidents and dignitaries from the world around.
