Ranked as the top course in America by Golf Advisor readers twice, including in 2020, Yocha Dehe Golf Club offers an outstanding layout with panoramic views of the surrounding hillside and lots of strategic, well-designed holes. Opened in 2008 and crafted by architect Brad Bell, the course plays 7,337 yards from the back tees. Located at Caches Creek Resort 48 miles outside of Sacramento, the layout has five sets of tees, starting at just 5,500 yards. Troon Golf, which operates the facility, delivers a premium experience with immaculate playing conditions. The course starts out with a par-4 hole that drops 160 feet. There's a drivable par 4, while other holes climb elevation to raised greens. The course has a couple of blind shots on it as well. Yocha Dehe means "home by the spring water," and there are several holes where water comes into play, most notably the last four on the course. Yocha Dehe Golf Club also offers great practice facilities that include a driving range, short-game area, and practice putting green. Golf schools as well as individual instruction is available at the Yocha Dehe Golf Academy. Inside the club's magnificent clubhouse, you will find a well-stocked golf shop that offers the latest in accessories and apparel. Also in the clubhouse is the Bahtenta restaurant, which is open every day. The menu includes a great selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, as well as an assortment of beer and beverages. The course is located a mile from the resort's casino and hotel, which has 600 rooms.
