Although it just opened in late 2020, Madinaty Golf Club is already at the forefront of the Egyptian golf scene. The host course for the Egyptian Amateur Championship and an International Series event on the Asian Tour, the Troon-run facility is sure to be a favorite for many years to come. Located inside Madinaty in Cairo at the feet of the great pyramids, the course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. This meticulously maintained layout really does appeal to all levels of golfers with four sets of tees, ranging from 4,741 yards to 6,967 yards from the tips. More than that, the course features one good hole after another. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 567-yard, par-5 eighth, a dogleg left with numerous bunkers both in the fairway and around the green. The finishing stretch is particularly strong with the par-5 17th, arguably the signature hole of the group. A sharp dogleg left, it?s guarded by a beautiful lake down the left side all the way to the green. Besides the golf course, Madinaty Golf Club also has a driving range and practice putting green. Anyone looking to improve can summon the help of the facility?s golf academy. And inside the clubhouse you will find a first-rate golf shop and world-class dining.
