A golfer’s dream! Valley Country Club is a private 18 hole, par 72 course with some of the most challenging greens in Rhode Island. 51 bunkers and 3 water holes are featured on the tree-lined course making for an exciting experience. From the longest tees, it offers 6,600 yards of golf for a par of 72.
First built in 1925 as a nine-hole course, Valley was extended to its current 18 hole layout in 1964. The original holes, 1,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 18 all feature smallish greens, a trademark of British architect W.H. Follet a protégé of renowned golf course architect Donald Ross.
The new nine, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 were designed by acclaimed golf course designer Geoffrey Cornish all feature larger sloping greens.
