First opened in 1958, Georgetown Golf Club is a classic parkland course with plenty of scenic views, elevated tee shots and lots of character. The course, which was designed by Hall of Fame architect Robbie Robinson as well as Park Takahashi, the par-71 layout works its way around the Credit River. There are three sets of tees, topping out at nearly 6,300 yards. Formerly known as Eagle Ridge Golf Club, the course and property has undergone a number of upgrades over the years, and was renamed and rebranded in 2020 as.a semi-private club. The course provides golfers with lots of options on holes, but there are a few that will definitely be a challenge. The par-4 10th is a great example. At 425 yards, the no. 2 handicap hole requires length, but also requires accuracy. It's a dogleg left with a difficult approach over a creek and around some mature trees. The no. 1 handicap hole is the fourth, a par-4 with a harrowing approach as well. In addition to the golf course, Georgetown Golf Club also has a driving range and practice putting green. The facility also offers an excellent golf academy for anyone looking to improve their game. It includes state-of-the-art technology as well as club-fitting. The golf shop is well-stocked, offering the latest in apparel and accessories. And the clubhouse restaurant offers indoor and outdoor patio dining, overlooking the course. It is open every day, offering a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, pizza, and cold beverages.
