Opened in 1924, Chestfield Golf Club is set in the triangle of the land formed by the coastal resorts of Whitstable, Herne Bay and the cathedral of Canterbury. The venue boasts the 'oldest building in the world being used as a clubhouse' which dates back to the 15th Century, the perfect place to relax after your round. You can also stop into the pro shop which stocks a wide range of equipment and clothing. If you want to sharpen your golf skills before taking to the fairways, use the practice putting greens and the 3-bay driving range.
Accuracy off the tee is key to getting round Chestfield Golf Course, especially on the monster 522 yard par 5 2nd which produces a lot of troubles from the first shot. You may want to think about using a shorter club if you don't think you'll reach. You're accuracy will also be tested by this uphill course with its multi-tiered greens, well-placed bunkers and thick rough. This is a course that will suit all levels of golfer and the hilly layout will really challenge even the most seasoned golfers.
