From museums to live theater to restaurants and and parks, Marion, which is located between Columbus and Cleveland, has something to offer to everyone. Visitors can check out the Warren G. Harding Memorial, where the 29th U.S. president and First Lady Florence Harding or buried. Or better yet, perhaps, visit the Harding home and museum, which celebrates all things Harding. There’s also the Wyandot Popcorn Museum with its collection of antique popcorn machines, the Marion Palace Theater and plenty of unique restaurants, bars and shops. The city of 36,000 people is also known for being the site of the Whirlpool dyer factory, which produces more than 20,000 dryers daily for sale around the world. Green Acres Golf Course is a short 18-hole executive course in Marion, but in nearby Waldo, you’ll find Kings Mill Golf Club, an enjoyable medium length 18-hole regulation course. Whetstone Golf & Swimming Club in Caledonia is another option open to the public.
