Golf Courses Near McCall, ID
With incredible mountain and lake scenery, McCall is a town known both its winter and summer recreation. Skiing, of course, dominates during the colder months, but fishing, swimming, hiking and biking as well as golf, are just some of the great options when the weather gets warm. The city, which is located about 100 miles north of Boise, sits next to Payette Lake with great views of the Rocky Mountains on all side. The surrounding Payette National Forest also provides a great backdrop for camping and hiking, with plenty of trails to explore, some of which lead right into town. Once in McCall, there are all kinds of great local eateries and pubs. Favorite restaurants include the Foglifters Café and My Father’s Place, the Hotel McCall oozes with history of the city, originally founded as a logging town. There are also plenty of great golf facilities offering tee times. Among the best are Whitetail Golf Club, an Andy North-Roger Packard design that plays nearly 7,200 yards, as well as the 27-hole McCall Golf Course and Meadowcreek Golf Resort in nearby New Meadows.
