Golf Courses in Rochester, MI

Located about 20 miles north of Detroit, Rochester is a township of about 10,000 people. Surrounded by Rochester Hills, it counts Madonna among those who went to high school there. The upscale area is chocked full shops and restaurants and a few golf courses as well. There are several private clubs in Rochester, such as R&S Sharf Course, Great Oaks, Wyndgate Golf Club and Katke-Cousins Golf Course, which plays more than 7,200 yards from the tips. The public, however, has plenty of options for tee times. Pine Trace Golf Club is a very popular Arthur Hills design in Rochester, which also has the nine-hole Hampton Golf Course. Rochester Hills offers the highly regarded Blackheath Golf Club, which sort of a Scottish links loo to it. There are several more good options just a few minutes from Rochester. Sanctuary Lake Golf Course is a nice municipal in Troy, and Twin Lakes in nearby Oakland has 27 holes designed by Jerry Matthews.
