Golf Courses in Ann Arbor, MI

Known as an arts and academic community, Ann Arbor has much to offer. It is home, of course, to the University of Michigan and one of the largest football stadiums in the United States. But Ann Arbor, named for wives of the founders and stands of nearby bur oaks, is also a haven for galleries, independent shops, unique restaurants and craft breweries. It’s also a great golf destination, starting with, perhaps, the classic Alister Mackenzie-designed University of Michigan Course, which does grant limited public tee times in Ann Arbor, as well as terrific private clubs like the Donald Ross-designed classic Barton Hills Country Club or more modern Polo Fields Golf & Country Club. There are plenty of public tee times available in Ann Arbor at dozens of other courses as well, from the municipal Leslie Park Golf to outstanding daily fee facilities such as the Arthur Hills-designed Stonebridge Golf Course or Lake Forest Golf Club, a highly-rated links-style venue.
