Golf Courses in Waco, TX

Located between Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin, Waco, with close to 150,000 residents, has a lot going for it. Situated on the Brazos River, it's the home of Baylor University as well as the birthplace of Dr Pepper. Visitors will want to check out the Dr Pepper Museum as well as the Waco Mammoth National Monument. The city also has excellent cultural district downtown, plenty of great local eateries, craft breweries and distilleries. There are also lots of opportunities for tee times. Cottonwood Creek, a Joe Finger/Ken Dye design, is a terrific municipal that plays almost 7,200 yards from the tips. Bear Ridge Golf Club, which was designed by Peter Jacobson and Jim Hardy, is another great option open to the public. Other courses with public access include Waco Country Club, which a regulation course as well as a par-3 layout. Ridgewood Country Club, a Ralph Plummer layout updated by Colligan Golf Design, is Waco's private club.
