Golf Courses in Kingwood, TX
Located northeast of Houston and not far from George Bush Intercontinental Airport, incorporated Kingwood is a forested community that offers a peaceful lifestyle with plenty of parks, shopping and recreational activities, including golf. The golf inside of Kingwood is pretty much private. Kingwood Country Club, for example, has five courses and many of the locals are members there. But not far from Kingwood are plenty of courses that offer tee times to the public. Next door in Humble, for example, is Tour 18 Golf Club, which was the original copycat course and is still fun to play today. It includes holes that mimic the likes of Augusta's Amen Corner and the TPC Sawgrass island green 17th, for example. Oakhust Golf Club, an underrated Dave Marr/Jay Riviere championship design, is also just up the freeway from Kingwood. And the highly rated 36 holes of Cypresswood Golf Club, another public facility, is also fairly close in the eastern part of Spring.
