Golf Courses in Brattleboro, VT

For many visitors to Vermont, their first exposure to the state is Brattleboro. Few towns could make a better first impression. Situated at the confluence of the Connecticut and West Rivers at the lowest point in the state, but with hills rising in all directions, Brattleboro is in an idyllic setting. The town of 12,000 is located in the southeast corner of Vermont, along I-91, serving as a gateway to the north for travelers from Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Brattleboro is actually located closer to four other state capitals – Albany, Hartford, Boston and Concord – than to its own, Montpelier. With a thriving arts community, covered bridges, skiing and kayaking, there is plenty to do for tourists. American Style magazine has ranked Brattleboro among its top 25 destinations in America for seven straight years. The Smithsonian places Brattleboro among its "20 Best Small Towns in America", because of its concentration of museums, art galleries, historical sites and other cultural attractions.

The options are limited for golfers, but Brattleboro Country Club gets solid rankings at GolfAdvisor.com. Mount Snow Golf Club, located 25 miles to the west, is also lauded by reviewers on Golf Advisor, placing in New England's top 20.
