Frisco Lakes Golf Club, located within the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community just north of Dallas, is a great tee time option whether you are a skilled player, a weekend hacker, or someone who is newer to the game. The Gary Stephenson-designed championship course has some bite, but it is also a fun and aesthetically pleasing playing field that golfers of varying skill levels rave about. Frisco Lakes Golf Club s wide-open front nine spreads out amidst the heart of the development, while the back nine has a somewhat more natural look and feel with its more prevalent trees. Player-friendly features of the design include generous fairways with wide landing areas, contouring that helps contain balls when they head toward the rough, bunkers that aren t overly deep, and greens that hold shots well and are somewhat subtly undulating. With five sets of tee markers, Frisco Lakes Golf Club can be played as short as 5,047 yards and as long as 7, 129 yards. Water enters the fray on several holes, as lakes figure prominently on the front nine. Frisco Lakes Golf Club s most exciting holes are the dogleg-left par-4 7th, which features a tee shot over water en route to a peninsula green, and the island green par-3 8th. The par-3 14th, which looks out on Lake Lewisville, is also a highlight of the round. One of the joys of playing this retirement community layout is that the golf grounds are flat and very easy to walk. The final three holes head a little downhill, which only adds to the fun. Since its opening in 2009, Frisco Lakes Golf Club has earned a reputation for fine course conditioning. The course also boasts an attractive look with stonework borders around the greens and fairways that border water. If you want to warm up before your round, the club s extensive practice facilities include a grass driving range and a large short game area. The comfortable clubhouse features a nice pro shop and a full-service restaurant with an extensive menu and outdoor seating. It s easy to see why Frisco Lakes Golf Club is one of the most popular tee times in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
