The golf course architectural firm of Rainville & Bye laid out Yucaipa Valley Golf Club on the rolling terrain of what was once a highly productive citrus grove. Trees line many holes on the front nine, while the back nine flows amidst lots of housing. The stunning backdrop of the mountains lends beauty and atmosphere to the playing experience. This par-72 test plays as short as 5,273 yards and as long as 6,803 yards. You ll find three sets of tee markers out on the course plus two additional hybrid playing distances listed on the scorecard. Yucaipa Valley Golf Club is a user-friendly layout that features a nice mix of straightaway and dogleg holes. The fairways are ample and the greens are quick and sloped, but there s not a whole lot of trouble to trip you up. Since Rainville & Bye were rather restrained in their use of bunkers, trees and rough serve as the chief defenses against par at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. Water enters the fray on four holes, including a couple of par 3s with exciting tee shots over ponds.
