With elevated views, water on nearly every hole, and proximity to one of America's most historic sites, The Links at Gettysburg is a special experience for golfers. Opened in 1999, the par-72 golf course, designed by Steve Klein and Lindsay Ervin, has five sets of tees, playing from 4,977 yards to 7,069 yards. The layout is routed along the hills near Gettysburg National park. It features 35 steep rock cliffs, where the stone-lined tee boxes are perched, as well as 10 lakes and waterfalls, strategically-placed bunkers, and mature trees that come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few blind shots as well as doglegs that go both left and right. The signature hole is arguably the par-3 third, which plays from an elevated tee to a large undulating green that fronts a red rock cliff. There's also a 600-yard par-5, the seventh, which has water left and right. The Links at Gettysburg's version of Amen Corner can be found on holes 13-15. It includes a long par 4, another par 5 that plays nearly 600 yards, and a 233-yard par 3. In addition to the golf course, The Links has a driving range, short-game area, and practice putting green. The large and inviting clubhouse includes a well-stocked golf shop that offers the latest in apparel, accessories and equipment. And there's also a restaurant, which serves a variety of sandwiches, snacks and beverages every day. The clubhouse is also available for special events and weddings.
