When Tour 18 Dallas Golf Course burst onto the scene in 1995 in Flower Mound, Texas with its simulations of holes from America s most famous, revered and exclusive golf clubs, it was an instant sensation. To this day it is still one of the most popular tee times in the Dallas Metroplex region. Tour 18 Dallas Golf Course is like a greatest hits album of American golf. It s great fun to put your game to the test on holes you ve dreamed about playing from Augusta National, Oakmont, Medinah Winged Foot, Pine Valley, and more. Tour 18 Dallas Golf Course was the forerunner that set the bar high for the wave of replica concept courses that have since popped up across the country. In Flower Mound, located 40 some miles northwest of Dallas, some of the holes were such close copies that a few of the original clubs (especially from the resort/public-access courses like Harbour Town Golf Links) initiated lawsuits to force modifications of the holes. Among the most popular holes at Tour 18 Dallas Golf Course are the 9th, a version of the island-green 17th at Sawgrass Country Club The Players Stadium Course, and the 10th, which copies the famous Church Pew bunkers from the 3rd hole at Oakmont. Another perennial favorite test during the round is the 12th hole, a replica of Riviera Country Club s par-3 6th with a sand bunker right in the middle of the green. Tour 18 Dallas Golf Course saves its best for last, however. The round concludes with simulations of Augusta National s 11th, 12th and 13th holes, better known to fans of The Masters as Amen Corner. Since you likely will never get to play the real versions of the vast majority of the featured holes, a day at Tour 18 Dallas Golf Course is the next best thing. Though the holes are tough, four sets of tee markers give players of wide-ranging skill levels the chance to take each hole on from a manageable distance. Practice facilities at the club include a grass range, a short game area, and a putting green. The clubhouse features a pro shop and a full-service restaurant.
