Located on Mountain Creek Lake about 17 miles southwest of Dallas, Prairie Lakes Golf Course features three nines labeled Red, White and Blue. The club sets the rotation each day, so you could wind up playing any combination of the three nines. The original Blue and White nines date back to 1963, while the Red nine was added in 2005. All three nines are quite similar in length and in style. They ramble over flat terrain amidst lots of trees. The trees make the fairways play rather tight. Meanwhile, the greens are large and undulating with slopes that can make putting an adventure. A unique feature of Prairie Lakes Golf Course is that there are no sand bunkers on any of the holes. Of the three nines, the Blue plays a little longer and the White features water most dramatically. One of the highlights of the Prairie Lakes Golf Course experience is the  Bermuda Triangle, a three-hole stretch on the White nine where large numbers of golf balls disappear without a trace into the water. Prairie Lakes s practice facilities are among the most extensive in the Metroplex region. The driving range features eight target greens. You ll also find a chipping green with a sand bunker (the only such bunker on the property) and a huge putting green. Prairie Lakes Golf Course s clubhouse features a fully stocked pro shop, a tournament pavilion, and Eddlemon s, a laid back BBQ restaurant that is a Grand Prairie institution. With its pleasant outside area, Eddlemon s draws in golfers, locals and BBQ lovers from all over. A tee time at Prairie Lakes Golf Course is not to be missed in the Metroplex.
