Founded in 1930 by the minds of C.H. Muelenford and Sam Sneed, this 18-hole golf course has proven to be a challenge to many golfers over the years, with its five lakes and the adjoined Long Run Creek as well as bunkers and a vibrant landscape which is ever-so pleasing to the eye. The Big Run Golf Course experience, as many call it, is like taking a step back in time, with an “old-school” design and antique clubhouse that are kept in excellent conditions. Golfers of all ages and skill have grown to love what Big Run Golf has to offer and have found a special bond with one of the most beautiful courses in Illinois. Big Run Golf Club has four Par 3’s, ten Par 4’s, and four Par 5’s and it stretches over 7048 yards. This golf course boasts a variety of different elevations that will challenge even some of the most experienced players, making it one of the most unique courses you can ever set foot on.
