Singing Hills Golf Club boasts three Ted Robinson, Sr.-designed golf courses that spread out over 400 acres in a gorgeous and secluded Dehesa Valley location, 20 miles east of San Diego. The most coveted tee time at this friendly property owned by the Sycuan Tribal Community is Singing Hills Golf Club Willow Glen, a dramatic championship layout routed amidst rugged terrain with numerous elevation changes, undulating fairways, and a few of Ted Robinson's trademark aesthetic water features. It all adds up to a fun round. Willow Glen is a very walkable course that is free of housing and other distractions. Elevated tee boxes yield stunning views as the playing field moves up and down in the pristine foothills. Players who can keep their ball in play and navigate through several dogleg holes can score on this layout. Much of the difficulty of the course comes in judging distances. Ted Robinson s design may play tricks on you, as the bunkers, hazards, and greens often appear deceptively closer or farther away than they really are. Willow Glen has a few elevated greens, but overall the putting surfaces are rather small, fast and firm targets. In most cases you can run your ball up to the greens. The most memorable of the early tests on Willow Glen is the downhill par-4 4th. The fairway sits well below the teeing area en route to a green fronted by a serpentine-edged pond. Since the hole tops out at just 325 yards from the tips, many players muscle up to take on the risk of going for the green. Whether you succeed or fail, it's an exhilarating shot. On the back nine at Willow Glen, the downhill, water-carry par-3 12th boasts an elaborate, five-tiered cascading waterfall situated off to the right of the green. This is the signature hole of the entire resort. Practice facilities at Singing Hills Golf Club include a driving range, chipping area, and three putting greens, plus a short par-4 practice hole. Singing Hills Golf Club's pro shop is very well stocked. The resort restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Singing Hills Golf Club stands out as the only 54-hole golf facility in the San Diego realm. At Willow Glen you'll delight in the property's signature, highly playable course.
