ChampionsGate Golf Club at Omni Orlando Resort is a renowned golf haven that boasts two distinctly different Greg Norman eighteens that are among the most popular and enjoyable in the entire greater Orlando area. ChampionsGate Golf Club-International at Omni Orlando Resort is the higher rated and more unique of the two layouts. Set in a wide-open, wind-exposed environment dominated by wetlands, this signature Greg Norman design conjures visions of the links of the British Isles. When the course opened back in 2000 its look and playing style made it a novelty that contrasted with Florida s more traditional resort golf courses. In classic links fashion, the routing heads out away from the clubhouse on the front nine and comes back to it on the inward nine. Grassy dunes line ChampionsGate Golf Club-International at Omni Orlando Resort s firm fairways that typically yield plenty of run-out. You can unleash your driver on the layout s wide fairways, though tall grass, some 170 bunkers (many of which are pot bunkers bordered by thick, long grass), and those aforementioned wetlands lurk to ensnare your golf ball.
