A great spot for beginners or those looking to work on their game, the Glen Oaks Golf and Learning Center's has a nine-hole par-3 course, driving range and teaching staff. The par-27 course, which opened in 1965, is just 1,102 yards, with holes ranging from 93 yards to 157 yards. All the holes are pretty straightforward, although most of the greens are protected by bunkers. In addition to the course, Glen Oaks Golf and Learning Center offers has a Toptracer Range, which means golfers can get electronic feedback on their shots like distance, carry, spin rate, etc.; play games on the range against their friends, such long-drive contests; or even play virtual courses. The facility's golf academy has several teachers for lessons. And golfers can also enjoy food and drink at Wally's Grille, which has two large flat-screen TVs for sports, a large selection of beer and gourmet burgers.
