Located just an hour or so from New York City, semi-private Patriot Hills Golf Club is an outstanding golf facility open to the public. The golf course is tucked away in the Ramapo Mountains on a perch overlooking the Hudson River. The par 71 layout, which is almost 6,500 yards from the back tees, features elevated tees, terrific views, a wide variety of interesting holes, and exceptional conditioning. The course is rated nearly five stars on Golf Pass. Opened in 2003 and designed by Rick Jacobson, Patriot Hills offers four sets of tees, beginning at 5,101 yards. There are short and long par 4s, and a nice variety of par 5 and par 3 holes. The longest hole on the course is the 568-yard par-5 14th. It's also one of the most beautiful with an elevated tee shot that features a panoramic view of a tight fairway and hills and mountains in the distance. The no. 1 handicap hole is the long par-4 15th. The tee shot on this dogleg right is slightly uphill with fairway bunkers and an approach into a well-guarded green. Besides the golf course, Patriot Hills has a driving range, short-game area, and practice putting green. Golf lessons are also available. Inside the clubhouse, you'll find a well-stocked golf shop and dining facilities. The Patriot Lounge is a sports bar with simulators, big screens, draft beer and plenty of food. The Revolutionary Grille is a full-service indoor dining experience overlooking the 18th green.
