SugarTree Golf Club truly is one of those hidden gems worth the drive. About 45 miles west of Fort Worth and a little farther from Dallas or Waco, this excellent public facility features two courses – a 18-hole course & Par 3 course. Built in 1988, the 18-hole course, which measures 6,810 yards from the longest of four sets of tees, features fairways lined by oaks, pecan trees, hackberry trees and other varieties. There's elevation change, water on 13 holes, lots of doglegs and superb conditioning. Most of all, the course is not only interesting and challenging, but beautiful as well. SugarTree has been the host course for many a tournament over the years, including the Fort Worth Classic on the Adams Tour as well as a U.S. Senior Open qualifier, and it was named the Top Value Priced Course in the DFW Metroplex by Avid Golfer 2014. Additionally, SugarTree Golf Club offers attractive and very reasonable stay-and-play packages, offering to groups its five-bedroom Cottage at SugarTree, which is just a short walk from the Brazos River.
