Originally opening in 1995, this wonderful Nicklaus design has all of the qualities and character of a premium layout while at the same time maintaining playability for the average golfer, rare among many of the top courses of today. The Jamestown layout blends Williamsburg’s rolling topography with holes offering risk reward opportunities that will challenge the best players but still provide plenty of opportunities to make par or better for the average golfer.
In the fall of 2016, Williamsburg National transitioned to new ownership committed to providing golfers with a high quality golf experience worthy of its unique designs. The first major project was resurfacing the Jamestown greens. It re-opened in the fall of 2017 with brand new Ultra Dwarf Champion Bermuda greens, the same putting surface used by over two dozen PGA tour host sites. Now golfers can enjoy premium playing conditions on one of the most enjoyable layouts they will ever play.
