Though lots of homes line Viera East Golf Club s fairways, the layout s water features make a bolder impression. Lakes, channels and other water forms are present on most holes. In some instances, the water features serve a primarily aesthetic purpose, while in others the hazards pose a more pressing threat to your score. A couple of holes call for thrilling shots over water, but otherwise you can make your way around the penalty areas. Viera East Golf Club also features plenty of Lee s trademark elaborate bunkers both in the fairways and beside the greens. The fairways are quite generous. Just beware of the out of bounds by the houses. Viera East Golf Club is especially proud of its elevated TifEagle grass greens that roll fast and true. At times they run at about 11 on the stimp meter. Playing conditions should be improved with the installation of a new drainage and irrigation system. Viera East Golf Club s recently renovated practice facilities include a driving range, short game area chipping, practice bunker, and a putting green. The updated clubhouse is home to a large, fully-stocked pro shop and a restaurant.
