Located about midway between Philadelphia and New York City, Cranbury Golf Club is a popular 18-hole course that provides excellent value in West Windsor, New Jersey. Course architect Gary Rhenn laid out this classic, parkland-style course in 1964 and Stephen Kay did some redesign work in the 1990s. Cranbury Golf Club enjoys a peaceful natural setting in upscale West Windsor. Mature trees line the fairways and backdrop the greens on a flat, user-friendly playing field that is fun to walk. Golfers have three teeing options on this par-71 test: 4,785 yards from the forward markers; 5,707 yards from the middle tee box; and 6,057 yards from the tips. Much of the fun of playing Cranbury Golf Club comes from its variety. The routing consists of six par 3s, seven par 4s, and five par 5s. A couple of the par 3s feature forced carry shots over either water or, on no. 14, a ravine known as The Bog. During a 10-hole stretch in the middle of the?round you play all five of the par 5s. Since these long holes are somewhat short the longest tops out at 513 yards the par 5s present scoring opportunities. Cranbury Golf Club s greens, one of the strengths of the course, are small and undulating and defended by bunkers. A few of the greens and tees are close together, so stay alert for stray shots. The Cranbury Golf Club mobile app provides course GPS, an interactive scorecard with playing tips, golf games and other helpful features. Practice facilities include an irons-only driving range and a putting green. The clubhouse features a pro shop, a restaurant with a full bar. A wide selection of draft beers brings in locals as well as golfers. Weather permitting, Cranbury Golf Club stays open for play all year round.
