Elton Furze Golf Course is set in the heart of Peterborough in a town called Haddon. The course is relatively new, only 25 years old. The course is a contemporary design with two loops of 9 holes both starting from the clubhouse. The course gets its name from a local yellow flower found on a prickly Green Bush called ‘Elton Furze.’ The course is quite challenging for all types of golfers specifically those who are not particularly long off the tee. If you struggle with distance it is important to use the right club and pick the right spot to hit. The perfect example is the 527-yard par 5 11th Hole that is set up to really disturb the golfer, first with the length then secondly the twists, turns, trees and bunkers littered around the fairway and around the green. Elton Furze Golf Club offer fantastic facilities including a designated chipping green, putting green and a driving range.
