Laid out in a beautiful natural setting, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club offers a gorgeous Joe Finger-Ken Dye designed golf course that's both playable and challenging. Located along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay in Shalimar, the course, which underwent a full renovation in 2022, works through mature trees, water features, and wetlands and natural Florida topography. The layout showcases beautifully maintained greens and strategic bunkers, a variety of doglegs and a mix of long and short holes. The par-72 course has five sets of tees, playing as long as 6,756 yards. The first, ninth and 18th holes are all par 5s. And the par-holes range from 150-yard 11th to the 218-yard 16th from the back tees. The 11th is arguably one of the course's signature holes with water surrounding the front and both sides of the green. Water also comes into play on the long 16th, as do three bunkers that guard the green. Besides the golf course, Shalimar Pointe has comprehensive practice facilities, which include a spacious driving range, chipping green, and practice putting green. The club also offers an extensive lesson program as well as club fitting. Inside the clubhouse is a well-stocked golf shop with major brands in golf apparel, equipment, and accessories. And the Grill at Shalimar Pointe is open every day, serving breakfast and lunch. Menu items include croissant breakfast sandwiches, and biscuits and sausage gravy, as well as Reubens and chicken salad sandwiches, and a variety of beverages.
