Nine hole courses don?t get much better than Yas Acres Golf & Country Club, a 3,700-yard championship layout that?s both beautiful and challenging. Located in the heart of Yas Acres, the course was designed by Dana Fry and Jason Straka and opened in 2021. The course features a low, meandering ridge line that runs throughout the routing. There?s also a lake and stream system that figures prominently in the design of the holes. Another great feature is the course is lighted for night-time play. The course starts and ends with challenging par 5s, with the ninth, at 535 yards, the course?s no. 1 handicap hole. It?s a great risk-reward opportunity with bunkers on the right side of the fairway and a small creek 50 yards short of the green. From the back tees, this course can be pretty challenging with a 230-yard par 3 and three par 4s that are around 460 yards or longer. Fortunately, there are five sets of tees, starting at a little more than 2,500 yards, so all levels of players can enjoy it. Besides the course, Was Acres Golf & Country Club has outstanding practice facilities with a driving range, extensive short game area, and practice putting green. Lessons are also available. The clubhouse features a well-stocked golf shop and two terrific restaurants and a bar.
