Designed by Ron Garl and opened in 1990, the golf course is a par-72 that plays nearly 6,800 yards from the back set of tees. Ranked as one of the state's top golf courses on Golf Advisor, the course features mature stands of oak and pine, water features, hilly terrain, and wonderfully maintained greens. The course has five sets of tees, starting at just under 5,00 yards. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 540-yard, par-5 fifth. It?s a dogleg right that plays through a narrow chute of trees, around a large fairway bunker to a green protected by another large bunker. Water comes into play on several holes, including the short par-5 ninth, a great risk-reward hole. Besides the golf course, Glenlakes Golf & Country Club has an aqua range, short-game area, and practice putting green. There?s a fun-service golf shop, offering the latest in apparel, accessories and equipment, in the 35,000-square-foot clubhouse. This is also where you will find ?The 19th Hole,? the main bar and restaurant, which is open every day.
