An excellent parkland course with a wide variety of holes, Grand Centre Golf Course offers golfers a fun and challenging experience. The course, which opened in 1961, plays just under 6,500 yards from the tips, with three sets of tees to accommodate players of all ages and abilities. In the early 2000s, the course was renovated and has only been getting better with age. The par-72 layout features plenty of mature trees, a few bunkers here and there and two large lakes that come into play on several holes. The first lake figures prominently on the no. 1 handicap hole, the 426-yard, par-4 fourth. Not only is it long, but water comes into play down the left side and near the green on the approach. The par-5 holes are particularly intriguing, since none of them are particularly lengthy, and long hitters can consider whether or not to go for the greens in two. The 18th is a great example. This slight dogleg right is just over 500 yards with little trouble, so it can certainly yield its share of birdies. In addition to the course, Grand Centre also has a driving range, chipping green, and practice putting green. Amenities include a fully-stocked golf shop, lounge, and restaurant, which serves a variety of breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers. hot dogs, and beverages.
