Carved out of the forest of Northern Ontario, Kapuskasing Golf Club is a terrific nine-hole course that will test every part of your game. First opened in 1937, the par-36 course, which plays 3,254 yards from the back tees, is target-style golf with mature trees, bunkers and water that comes into play on four holes. One of the holes with water is the par-5 sixth hole, which plays 514 yards. Considered the course?s signature hole, there?s a pond on the left side and a big willow tree in the fairway. Most of the holes also feature fairly narrow fairways, average sized greens, and they are tree-lined, which means accuracy is a necessity to successfully navigate the holes. The golf course opens with three par 4s, two of them under 300 yards, so there are early opportunities to score. It ends with a par-3 hole, which also has water in play on it. In addition to the golf course, Kapuskasing Golf Club also offers a driving range, short-game area with practice bunker, and practice putting green. The club also has a well-stocked golf shop, offering a wide selection of apparel and accessories. Lessons and clubfitting are also available.
