Offering great views, interesting holes and natural tranquility, Olympic View Golf Club has no shortage of fun. With mountains and big sky in the background, Olympic View, which is located near Victoria on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, is a course that may be a little short on overall length, but not on enjoyment and challenge. Designed by Bill Robinson and opened in 1990, this par-72 layout is set over 550 acres of pristine forest. The signature hole is the par-4 17th, which features a 60-foot waterfall behind the green. There?s also a waterfall on the 420-yard par 4 eighth, which is situated around two ponds. It?s also the no. 1 handicap hole. The hole before that, the short par-4 seventh, is pretty interesting, too. It has a big rock near the green to protect against long hitters trying to drive the green. It also messes with wayward approaches. The rest of the holes wind around streams, lakes, and hills as well. There?s never a dull moment. In addition to the course, Olympic View Golf Club also has a golf academy as well as a large, grass driving range with target greens. There?s also a short-game area and practice putting green. Inside the clubhouse you will find a well-stocked golf shop with a great selection of apparel and accessories. And after or before your round, be sure to check out Table Nineteen Restaurant, which has floor to ceiling windows for incredible golf course views. The menu at Table Nineteen features fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
