The Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed championship course at Oglebay Resort is a challenging course that plays from 4,650 to 7,000 yards. It was the first public course undertaken by the prestigious golf course architect, and took five years of planning and construction. Jones described the proposed layout as "a fair test of golf, with no tricks, but an easy bogey, hard par course." The course is located at the resort’s Speidel Golf Club, complete with practice range, on-site pro, pro shop, locker facilities and grill room. All golf cars at the golf club are equipped with state-of-the-art GPS.
