In Mesquite, Nevada, a true mecca for traveling golfers, Coyote Willows Golf Club stands out as the only 9-hole regulation-length layout in town. It s the course locals gravitate to for affordable tee times. Coyote Willows Golf Club is also ideally suited for beginners and holiday golfers, for anyone who enjoys working on their game, and for a quick round when you first arrive in Mesquite or are about to leave town. The course, which winds through a residential development, presents a fun but manageable challenge for players of all skill levels. Though Coyote Willows Golf Club doesn t have the drama that Mesquite's other courses are famous for, the layout spreads out on flat ground near the Virgin River (which you can hear) and boasts beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. With four sets of tee markers, the par-35 playing field extends from 2,141 yards up to 2,836 yards. It s not a long test the par 4s are all less than 350 yards but some of the fairways are tight. Coyote Willows Golf Club s two par 5s play back to back one is long and the other is quite short and a real birdie hole. For sheer enjoyment during the round, you can t beat the three par 3s. Due to some modifications to the course, water enters the fray on just two holes. Coyote Willows Golf Club's greens putt true, but given the relaxing nature of the game here, they roll somewhat slower than other courses in Mesquite. Though you encounter a couple of long gaps between holes at the outset of the round, Coyote Willows Golf Club is walkable. Practice facilities are limited to putting and chipping greens and warm-up nets. The club has a nice golf shop. While Coyote Willows doesn t have a restaurant, you can get hotdogs and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the golf shop and enjoy them out on the patio. For a relaxing alternative to the area's bigger, bolder and more pricey courses, make a tee time at Coyote Willows Golf Club, Mesquite s most affordable place to play.
