Founded in 1913, Northenden Golf Club is situated on the banks of the River Mersey five miles south of Manchester city centre. The current, and very highly regarded, parkland course, designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, was officially opened in 1973 and its variety of trees, bunkers and water hazards, not forgetting the river which lurks on the right-hand side for the first six holes. Northenden Golf Club has undergone a significant change following the destruction by fire of the old clubhouse in October 2014. A new clubhouse was opened in June 2016. Northenden Golf Club has a custom designed multi-purpose function room for member and visitor events and replaces our much-loved balcony overlooking the course. Northenden Golf Club is situated on Palatine Road, Northenden, Manchester.
