Preston Golf Club was established in 1892 and is set in the North of Preston and is easily accessible from the M6. The course measures at 6,278 yards and is a par 71. The course has been influenced by many great golf course architects such as James Braid, Harry Varden, Allister Mackenzie and Sandy Herd. The course features USGA specification greens that are a delight to put on and run at a great speed year-round. The course is a classic parkland design where tree lined fairways will demand accuracy over distance. The greens are framed nicely by deep greenside bunkers, again providing a great test for golfers. The first hole provides a nice start to the round with a 140-yard par 3 providing a nice birdie opportunity. Preston Golf Club provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will enhance the experience of visiting golfers.
