Teignmouth Golf Club is justifiably proud of its heritage. The course was designed by the legendary Dr Alister Mackenzie and opened in 1924, some 9 years before he completed his most famous work at the Augusta National, home of the US Masters. Teignmouth’s course is situated near the South Devon coast and at 800ft above sea level it offers the most spectacular views of the sea and nearby moors. The course stretching 6,105 yards from the whites has been set up to challenge every golfer but can be very rewarding for all that play. Some of the main features on the course are the six-varied par 3’s and no fewer than 11 two tiered greens completing the true Mackenzie trademark. The Clubhouse offers good quality changing rooms and a modern, comfortable lounge and bar in which to enjoy that well-earned, post-round drink. The dining room can seat up to 120 and enjoys spectacular views of the River Teign as it flows to the sea.
