Situated between Haywards Heath and Uckfeld, Piltdown is a traditional members golf club with a lovely old fashioned feel about it. The course offers a good test of golf with narrow fairways beautifully prepared through punishing heather. Hitting the fairway here is a must if you want to record a good score.
The Club have invested close to half a million pounds in recent years in a major program to renew the greens and make some design changes. The changes have been very well received, and the Club now sits just outside the top 100 in the UK.
Piltdown hosted the Sussex Open in 2016, and will do so again in September 2017 when it will also host the British SpeedGolf Championship.
Piltdown is a traditional Club, and smart Golf Clothing and shoes are required. Shorts must be smart and should not be cargo or beach style. Socks should be white, and must at least cover the ankle.
