Established in 1900, West Essex Golf Club is a James Braid design that is now ranked within the top 5 venues in the Essex region. The golf club has great access links just ten minutes from the M25 and within twenty miles of Central London. The purpose-built modern clubhouse has a state-of-the-art changing room, a welcoming bar area that serves informal drinks and snacks, along with an on-site restaurant.
The West Essex Golf Course is kept in pristine condition year round with rolling fairways and true greens that are of a USPGA standard. The spectacular views of Central London are also worth noting; Canary Wharf, the Olympic Stadium and the London Eye can all be seen during play. The signature hole is the 5th - a testing par 3 that plays downhill and is considered to be the smallest green in England. Also known as the ‘frying pan’ the green measures 14 yards wide and is likened to the Postage Stamp at Royal Troon but half the size! West Essex also boasts fantastic practice areas with a driving range, short-game area and putting green which you can brush up on your skills before taking on this fantastic course.
