The year 2010 saw Clitheroe Golf Club become a North West Open regional qualifying venue for the first time. In the past the golf club has also played host to the Lancashire County Championship on a number of occasions as well as the EGU Tournament of Champions in 1991. Formed in November 1891 the golf club moved to its current site in 1932 and hasn’t looked back, growing an enviable reputation in the area.
