Aberdare Golf Club is one of the best parkland courses in Wales and was founded in 1921. The course overlooks Cynon Valley , situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Aberdare had produced many professional golfers including Ryder Cup Captain, Dai Rees. The clubhouse looks out past the 18th green and its main draw is the “Millennium Patio” which is a sun trap in summer months and provides a great social area for both members and visitors.
This par 69 course which measures 5982 yards is kept exceptionally well. One of the standout aspects of this course is that fact that it is situated on the side of a mountain. There are spectacular views from the elevated 14th tee, which boasts scenery of the Graig Mountain. The course is famous for its mature oak trees and offers a range of different holes which provides an interesting challenge for golfers.
