Founded in 1911, Trentham Park Golf Club has been the breeding ground of international golfing talent for a number of years. Simon Wakefield and Ryder Cup star David Gilford are members here which gives an indication of the standards the club has become renowned for. Based in the delightful grounds of Trentham Park, the former seat of the Duke of Sutherland, Trentham Hall overlooks parts of the course adding character to this wonderfully mature layout.
Steeped in history, the course at Trentham Park Golf Club is a simply majestic location to enjoy a round of golf. With imposing woodland lining the estate it has been updated recently with the greens and surrounds updated by architect Steve Marnoch. The par 5 1st is an impressive way to start with a lake and a small waterfall on the right hand side adding to those 1st tee jitters.
