Tom Fazio, original Wynn Golf Club designer and a true master golf course architect, has reimagined the famed 18-hole championship course for an entirely new golfing experience from the first drive to the last putt. Fazio, joined by his son Logan, took care to create a beautiful and unique course for players of all skill levels that captures both the luxury of the resort and the thrill of Las Vegas.
As the only resort golf course on the Las Vegas Strip, the 129-acre layout features eight all-new holes and 10 revamped holes set among lush landscapes unique to desert golf that include several natural water features and streams, 100,000 shrubs, and 7,000 mature trees. Significant changes begin on the first hole, which has been rerouted from its original design to dogleg right instead of left. Highlights include a 486-yard par 4 (no. 16) and a par 5 (no. 11) that tops out at nearly 600 yards. The signature 18th hole has been transformed from a par 4 to a par 3, which can be stretched to an audacious 249 yards, culminating on the green framed by a 35-foot-tall by 100-foot-wide waterfall for a truly spectacular finish.
Only steps from the resort in Wynn’s private backyard, the parkland style course features new fairways and bunkering throughout, with expansive, undulating greens complexes redesigned for all 18 holes. Water features come into play on 12 holes. Completing the experience is a professional caddie program staffed with several PGA members, new on-course culinary program, lithium powered golf carts, and an updated expansive pro shop.
