Golf Courses Near Vancouver, WA
Vancouver, Canada and Vancouver, Wash., are a little more than 300 miles apart, and while the one to the north might be a little more famous, the one in Washington State has plenty going for it as well. Located on the northern side of the Columbia River across from Portland, Ore., this Vancouver offers just about everything, from a great waterfront on the river to scores of great restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and even a few wineries. There are plenty of parks and trails as well as museums, cultural centers and historic landmarks to check. Fort Vancouver, Pearson Field and Museum and the Clark County Historical Museum are a few examples. There are also lots of summer festivals, like the Clark County Fair and Wine and Jazz Festival, to enjoy. Golf is plentiful, too, with lots of courses on both sides of the Columbia River offering tee times. Some of the most popular include the 18-hole Camas Meadows Golf Course, nine-hole Fairway Village Golf Course as well as Heron Lakes Golf Club, a municipal facility near downtown Portland that features two Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed championship layouts.
