Located in the southeastern part of Washington on the Columbia River, Richland is a city that offers plenty to do outdoors and indoors. As part of the Trip-Cities that also inc includes Kennewick and Pasco, Richland offers plenty of local eateries, wineries, museums and plenty of trails and other outdoor activities. Howard Amon Park is a popular spot for families by the river as well as Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve, which also offers beautiful trails against the backdrop of the water and mountains. Bernard Griffin Winery and Goose Ridge Winery also draw plenty of tourists, while the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, the Reach Museum and LIGO Observatory are other popular points of interest. Golfers can also appreciate the Richland area with several courses offering tee times. The Keith Foster-designed Horn Rapids Golf Club, which plays nearly 7,000 yards from the tips, as well as a couple of fine local municipal layouts, are great public options.
