Golf Courses Near Erie, PA

From the beaches and water parks to a great downtown district, Erie is one of the most picturesque cities in Pennsylvania, if not the country. Located on the shores of Lake Erie, the city of Erie, the fourth largest in the state offers a number of museums, such as the Erie Maritime Museum, Presque Isle State Park, a zoo, botanical gardens and scores of great restaurants, boutique shops, bars and other things to do downtown. There are also plenty of parks and golf courses. Among the best public courses is Whispering Woods Golf Course, ranked the fifth best course in the state in 2019 by GolfPass readers. Erie Golf Club, a 1926 A.W. Tillinghast design, is another good choice for the public. Other courses offering tee times for everyone include Orchard Ponds Golf Club and Harbor Ridge Golf Course, a nice nine-hole layout.
