Golf Courses Near Carlisle, PA

The county seat of Cumberland County, Carlisle is a small city in the midst of an agricultural area of central Pennsylvania, just west of Harrisburg. From farmers markets to art galleries, museums and even a brewery, there’s plenty to do in Carlisle, which has a population of around 20,000 people. Among the museums are a couple dedicated to the military, including the United States Army Heritage and Education Center. For golfers, there are plenty of courses that offer tee times to the public. Among them is Carlisle Barracks Golf Course, a popular military 18-hole course open to the public. Other public facilities include the highly-rated, Ron Garl designed Mayapple Golf Club, Eagles Crossing Golf Course and Cumberland Golf Club. Carlisle Country Club is a superb private club.
