Golf Courses Near Youngstown, OH
Situated in America’s “Rust Belt,” Youngstown was once best known for its steel production. But as steel production declined, this community of 65,000 people in northeast Ohio has become a more vibrant city known for its museums, parks, restaurants and other things to do and see. There are historic sites like Lanterman’s Mill, antique shops and even a brewery or two. There are art galleries and plenty of parks. One park in particular, Mill Creek, is not only beautiful in its own right, but it also has two 18-hole golf courses designed by Donald Ross. It’s hardly the only place, however, where golfers can get tee times. There are more than 30 in the area, including Pine Lakes Golf Course, which opened in 1929, and Knoll Run Golf Course, both open to the public.
